Welcome
back update from
your PSA Leadership Committee
We were delighted to have so many parents join us for the
Volunteer Fair !
Our main fundraising activity
is
the
sale of Sally Foster gifts and wrapping paper, as well as cookie
dough (which will arrive in time for the holidays!) Last
year,
the PSA contributed $ 5,000 toward
the matching gift program and contributed $2,000 to scholarships for
2 Seniors in addition to funding all of our school activities.
Tracey Jackson is overseeing our fundraising this year.
Be
on the lookout for information about Sally Foster soon!
Fellowship is equally important to us, and we have had a great
response to Moms in Touch (meeting Wednesday
in the lower school library from 7:50 AM to 8:30 AM--please
contact Sheila Greco with any questions ), the Clothes Closet
(please utilize this as our volunteers have stocked all size
uniforms and related gear -- Gail
Kaszuba
can answer any questions) and the Coffee Spot on Wednesday
morning
hosted by Ken Roberts ). Thank
you to Wesley Burnham who will again be handling our SCRIP cards
this year and will be located at the Coffee Spot each Wednesday
morning.
We are hosting a luncheon for new Moms and Dads
at the lovely home of Mary Crayton
on September 16.
Invitations are being prepared and if you are a new parent, we
hope that you will join us. Please contact Sheila Greco with
any questions about this important get together for our new
families.
Rachel McCann is leading the lower school Homeroom Mom efforts
this year. If you are interested in helping as a homeroom
volunteer, please let your teacher know.
Lower
School classrooms have a
budget, provided through tuition funds, for parties and
activities which make the parties and activities much easier
for the homeroom moms and parents to plan and organize.
Felicia Froelich is leading our Hospitality Committee and will
be working on teacher appreciation, birthday bags
(with Norma Bray) and special events. If you have a passion for
occasional hospitality events, please let Felicia know.
Save the date!!
We
are hosting a Mother/Daughter event on Friday,
October 8.
Michelle Morin is leading this effort and will be providing
updates during the month of September
We are happy to hear your suggestions about how we might better
serve the school, and we continue to welcome your prayer
support. We
would love for you to join us in service--if you are interested
in volunteering, please contact any of us listed below.
