Art Middle School students produce some amazing artistic creations in a wide variety of media, including pencils, watercolor, oils, tempera, chalk, paper collage, and sculpture. They study the history of art and the works of period and trend-setting artists and they experiment with different styles of their own. Many enter competitive art shows, and their art work decorates many areas on campus. Athletics Young men and women have opportunities to grow and excel in numerous sports that are sanctioned by the Florida High School Activities Association (FHSAA). Vocal Opportunities

The Middle School Choir is comprised of students in the 7th and 8th grades. These students meet five times a week under the guidance of a vocal instructor. The Middle School Choir has performed at Disney World, Universal Studios, and Tampa Bay Mall, and has participated in District competitions for Hillsborough County Choirs. It regularly performs in the Secondary School chapel services and at nursing homes. Additionally, there are evening concerts here at the school in which students can shine in front of Cambridge parents and friends. Individual members of this choir have participated in the District Solo competition and have qualified for All States Festival competitions held at the Performing Arts Center in Tampa.

Instrumental Opportunities

Seventh and eighth graders have the opportunity to participate in the Concert Band. Under the direction of the Secondary School band director, this band meets five days a week for 40 minutes per day. In addition to performing in hospitals and other locations locally, these students proudly represent The Cambridge School as they travel during the holiday seasons. Students in the seventh and eighth grade may have the opportunity to join with high school students in the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. Individual students in the Wind Ensemble have participated in state-wide competitions. The ensemble as a whole has participated in state-wide competitions. The Wind Ensemble travels two or three times a year during the holiday seasons. The Jazz Band meets one day a week after school. This band performs during special school assemblies.
