Tuition & Financial Aid

While the availability of school resources, the number of qualified applicants, and overall budgetary constraints influence financial assistance decisions, Cambridge Christian School is committed to making grants available to as many eligible applicants as possible. In an effort to make the process fair to all, Cambridge Christian considers the following when making award decisions:

  • The primary responsibility for financing a student’s education rests with the family.
  • In the case of divorce or separation, Cambridge Christian requires both parents to file an application for financial assistance. Cambridge Christian School is not bound by any divorce agreement specifying a parent’s responsibility for educational expenses.
  • Cambridge Christian believes a family should invest in their child’s education before elective expenses, for example, secondary home ownership, club memberships, and expensive car leases/purchases.

How To Apply For Financial Aid

Cambridge Christian utilizes the online service of Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) to process applications.

FAST does not decide whether financial assistance will be given or how much to give; rather FAST provides a need-based financial aid analysis service which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. All information from FAST is kept confidential. Results are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee who makes award decisions based on next year’s budget. Upon approval by the Committee, financial aid offers are then sent to families.

As a reminder, you must reapply each year. To start the process, please do the following:

  • Log onto the FAST website using the link at the bottom of this page.
  • The application process is self-guided. You may navigate in and out of the program allowing you to partially complete an application and go back to it at another time. Online e-mail and a 24/7 helpline is provided.
  • The charge for the application is $36.00 and to be paid by credit card at the end of the session. If you do not have a credit card please call Ivonne at 813-872-6744 ext. 266 for assistance.
  • After completing the online application you will be required to mail your 2011 tax returns for both state and federal taxes with all schedules and W-2’s to:

Including the School’s name on the outside of the envelope will ensure faster processing of your application. Pre-addressed envelopes are available in the business office if you need one.

  • The 2012-2013 online submission deadline for early consideration is February 15, 2012.

While no financial aid procedure can be entirely equitable – there are simply too many individual factors and extenuating circumstances – this new process that has been selected should serve our School community well. Among its many features will be the ability to further secure your financial data, and maintain the high degree of confidentiality that past recipients most appreciated.
