School Profile
 
Cambridge Christian School was founded in 1964 as Seminole Presbyterian School, a mission outreach of the Seminole Presbyterian Church. The school was renamed The Cambridge School in 2002 and then Cambridge Christian School in 2007. The school’s mission continues to provide excellence in academics, athletics and fine arts for the good of our students and the glory of God.
 
Accreditation - Florida Council of Independent Schools, Christian Schools of Florida, Florida Kindergarten Council. National Council for Private School Accreditation.
 
Memberships - Association of Christian Schools International, National Association of College Admission Counseling, Southern Association of College Admission Counseling.
 
Academics - The school offers a strong college preparatory curriculum. Students must complete a minimum of 24 credits during their high school career. Students can select from a variety of regular and Honors courses and from 10 Advanced Placement courses. Graduation requirements include Physical Education credits, a Fine Arts credit, and a Bible class in each of the four years, which limit the number of AP courses any one student may take.
 
Ranking - Cambridge Christian School does not rank due to class size and the competitive nature of our academic program. The class of 2010 numbered 49 students. One hundred percent of Cambridge Christian students are accepted to and plan to attend college after graduation.
 
Fine Arts - Students are encouraged to pursue a variety of interests in the fields of drama, music and art. There are annual theatre presentations. The high school art department participates in numerous juried shows. Students interested in musical instruments may participate in the wind ensemble, pep band, and praise band. Choir students may participate in one or more of four different choirs and engage in interscholastic competition.
 
Extracurricular - Students have opportunities to pursue an assortment of extracurricular interests including Student Government, Ambassadors, Key Club, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Boys and Girls State, and Spanish Competition Team.
 
Athletics - Cambridge Christian School offers a range of teams for both men and women. Students can participate in soccer, volleyball, cross country, golf, tennis, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, softball, football and track & field. The school is a member of the Florida High School Activities Association and was previously named the # 1 Class 1A athletic program in the state. Teams have won numerous state, regional and district titles and many athletes have continued to play on the college level.
