Our Admissions Policy

“The ultimate goal during the admissions process is to find a mutual comfort level between the student and the Cambridge Christian School. We are committed to having a diverse population of students who desire to learn and enthusiastically represent the Cambridge Christian School in our community and around the country at the colleges and universities they attend.”
Director of Admissions

The Cambridge Christian School enrolls promising students who demonstrate intellectual curiosity; who will benefit from the opportunity to develop their academic, creative and athletic abilities; and who can perform competently in a challenging environment.  Cambridge Christian School seeks to enroll qualified students from all ethnic, social and economic groups, creating a student body enriched by diverse backgrounds that represent the cultural fabric of our Tampa Bay area.  The foundation for Cambridge Christian School admissions is also based on the mutual understanding that all CCS students will matriculate into a college or university.

While a student’s willingness to commit to hard work is our best predictor for academic achievement and fulfillment of potential, Cambridge Christian School also believes that a strong alliance of home, church and school are key to the total educational process and the success of each child.

We desire to make the admissions process personal by carefully walking each prospective family through the necessary steps.  A prospective student and parents will spend time touring the campus and classrooms.  “Shadowing” opportunities are also available, in which a prospective student attends school with a Cambridge Christian School student for the day.  Question and answer forums and campus tours are also offered at our Open Houses, which are held throughout the school year.

The application process involves a campus visit and entrance testing by the prospective student.   Our admissions office, in coordination with upper and lower school administration, will also examine past academic records, teacher recommendations and standardized test scores.

Financial Aid is available to those desiring tuition assistance.  Applicants must file a financial statement with Family Financial Needs Assessment.  These forms are available through the Business Office, (813) 872-6744, ext. 266.
